How to Keep Children Active During theSummer Holidays in Windsor

The summer holidays are one of the best times of year for children. Longer days, beautiful weather
and a break from routines at school give them space to play, explore and recharge. Most of us recall
that incredible feeling of excitement as summer approaches.

For parents, however, the six-week break can also bring a familiar question: how do I keep my
children active, entertained and happy without relying too heavily on screens?

If you’re looking for highly rated sports camps in Windsor, Let’s Leap could be what you’re looking for.
Our holiday camps are designed to provide children with a variety of exciting experiences.

Whether your child loves team games, swimming, arts and crafts or animals, our holiday camps in
Windsor and Maidenhead
give them the chance to enjoy a proper summer adventure.

Keep children active at our holiday camp in Windsor

The summer holidays are a wonderful chance for children to rest, but it’s still important that they keep active. Children who exercise their minds and bodies tend to sleep better, feel more confident and have more opportunities to make friends.

You want them to burn off energy in a positive way, which can make the long break feel more
enjoyable for the whole family.

That doesn’t mean every day needs to centre around a traditional sport. Some children love
competitive games, while others prefer adventure activities, creative tasks or group challenges. That’s
why activity camps that offer a wide variety of activities can work so well. Children get to try different
things, discover what they enjoy and build confidence at their own pace.

At Let’s Leap, we create days that feel fun, fresh and full of choice. Our camps are not just about
keeping children busy. They’re about helping them feel included, supported and excited to join in.

Choose from a variety of amazing activities.

Even the sportiest child can get bored doing the same activity every day, while a less confident child
may need different options before they find something they love.

Our summer holiday camp programme includes a wide mix of activities, so every day feels different.
Children can take part in energetic sports, creative sessions, team challenges and special activities
that they may not usually get to try at school or at home.

Activities at Let’s Leap can include:
● Electric go-karting
● Multi-sports
● Kayaking
● Nerf tag
● Fencing
● Iflatable obstacle courses
● Radio controlled cars
● Swimming
● Archery
● Animal shows
● Team games
● Arts and crafts
● Zorb football

This mix is what makes us so popular with families seeking holiday camps that keep children
genuinely engaged. Your child might spend one session racing around an inflatable obstacle course,
then move on to archery, arts and crafts or swimming. It keeps the day moving and gives every child a chance to shine.

Make the most of our brilliant venues

A great summer camp needs more than a good timetable. The setting matters too. Children need
space to run, play, explore and feel comfortable.

This summer, we’re running our holiday camps in fantastic local settings across Windsor and
Maidenhead, including Eton College, St George’s School Windsor Castle and Claires Court Juniors.

Our holiday camp at Eton College is based at Common Lane, Windsor, SL4 6DW. It welcomes
children in Reception to Year 7, with nursery children also welcome provided they are 4 years old before their first day at camp. Set within one of the UK’s most prestigious schools, it offers first-class
sports halls, fields and facilities. Your child can enjoy indoor and outdoor activities in an inspiring
environment, with plenty of space for adventure.

At St George’s School, our summer holiday club is set in a truly magical location. The school sits near
Windsor Castle and offers beautiful historic grounds, large playing fields, an indoor heated swimming
pool, sports hall, outdoor play areas and an Astro-Turf hockey and netball pitch. This camp welcomes
children from Pre-School to Year 8, with children aged 3+ able to attend as long as they are toilet
trained and able to use the toilet independently.

For families near Maidenhead, our camp at Claires Court Juniors offers another excellent option.
Based at Ridgeway, The Thicket, Maidenhead, this camp welcomes children from pre-school to Year
7, with children aged 3+ able to attend if they are fully toilet trained. The site has excellent sports
halls, spacious playing fields and a heated indoor swimming pool, creating a safe and inspiring setting for summer fun.

Pick activities that build their confidence, not just their fitness levels

When parents search for activity camps in Windsor, they often want their child to be active. That’s
important, but we believe a good camp should offer more than physical exercise.

At Let’s Leap, our activities are designed to help children grow in confidence. Team games help them
communicate and work with others. Fencing and archery encourage focus and patience. Swimming
and kayaking build independence and resilience. Arts and crafts give children space to slow down and express themselves. Our shows featuring animals spark curiosity and give children something exciting to talk about at home.

Not every child arrives feeling confident. Some are shy. Some are nervous about joining a new group.
Some think they’re ‘not sporty’. Our job is to create an environment where every child feels
encouraged and able to take part. A great activity camp should never feel intimidating. It should feel
welcoming, safe and full of opportunities.

Keep routines flexible for family life

The summer holidays can be tricky to manage, especially for working parents. Your plans probably
often change, work schedules shift and not every family needs the same kind of childcare every week.

That’s why we offer flexible booking. Parents can book a day or a full week, depending on what works
best. Our standard day runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, while our extended day runs from 8:00 am to
5:30 pm.

Our Latest Pick-Up Option

We also offer our Extra Slice session from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm. This makes our holiday camps a
practical choice for families looking for summer childcare in Windsor and Maidenhead. Your child gets an exciting day packed with activities, while you get the reassurance of reliable care in a safe
environment.

Make this summer memorable, not stressful

For many children, the best summer memories are simple ones: making a new friend, trying
something brave, splashing in the pool or coming home tired and happy after a full day outdoors.

Our aim at Let’s Leap is to create those moments every day. We want children to feel that camp is
somewhere they can be themselves, try new things and enjoy a real sense of adventure. With our
supportive staff and carefully chosen venues, you can feel confident that your children are in safe
hands.
